This year is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, and it is also the year of Sino-French cultural tourism. From 25th to 28th October, a 34-member Marathon delegation from Beaujolais France was invited to visit Changshu and take part in the Changshu Shanghu Half Marathon. During their stay in Changshu, the delegation also participated in Sino-French friendly exchange activities, visited Shajiabang, Yushan, and Fangta Park, etc., and experienced Changshu's "City of Landscape" scenery. Next month, Changshu marathon runners will also form a delegation to France to participate in the 2024 France Beaujolais International Marathon, to further deepen exchanges and conclude the fruit of friendship.
Changshu and Beaujolais officially established a friendly exchange city relationship on 20 July 2023, and in October of the same year, the two sides signed a number of cooperation agreements in the fields of economy and trade, culture, tourism, education, sports and so on.
